TWENTY SIX IRISH SPORT HORSES HEAD TO LE LION D’ANGERS 2013

THE FEI WBFSH World Breeding Eventing Championships for Young Horses takes place in Le Lion d’Angers, France, this week. Horse Sport Ireland has confirmed the combinations selected to represent Ireland at the Championships. A team of three 6 year old and ten 7 year old horses will travel to Le Lion d’Angers. Janet Murray will act as Chef d’Equipe, with Ian Fearon travelling as Showjumping Coach. The 7 year olds will compete in the CCI 2*, while the 6 year olds will compete in the CCI 1*.

The dressage phase will take place on Thursday and Friday, with the cross-country on Saturday and showjumping on Sunday. The full list of horses and riders selected is shown below. Twelve of the thirteen horses selected to represent Ireland are Irish Sport Horses. Fourteen additional Irish Sport Horses will compete for nine other nations at this year’s Championships.
