Eventing at the Rio Olympic Games 2016 will see 65 athletes compete, representing 24 nations. A total of 13 teams will compete.

In Showjumping 75 athletes, from 27 nations, will line out with a total of 15 teams competing. Ireland’s sole showjumping representative is Greg Broderick, from County Tipperary, riding Irish Sport Horse MHS Going Global.
With Irish Sport Horse Castlefield Eclipse and Paul Estermann named as the Reserve combination for Team Switzerland, the Kilkenny-bred MHS Going Global will be the only Irish Sport Horse to compete in the Showjumping discipline at this’s years Olympic Games.
