Irish-bred event horses dominate KBIS British Eventing Young Horse Championships

Our UK based young Irish Sport Horse representatives shone yet again during the KBIS British Eventing Young Horse Championships at Osberton International Horse Trials.  Taking joint first in the 4 year-old division was the Irish Sport Horse Ballycanu ridden by Sophie Jenman (GBR). The Tinaranas Inspector sired gelding was bred in County Wexford by Bryan Maguire – breeder of Rolex 2014 winner Bay My Hero (William Fox-Pitt).

The five year-old championsip was won by William Fox-Pitt riding the Loughehoe Guy sired Irish Sport Horse gelding Reinstated. Irish-bred event horses received a further boost when William Fox-Pitt rode Fernhill Pimms to victory in the CCI2* at the same venue.
