Eighth World Cup Final for 20 year old Irish Sport Horse stallion Flexible
The 38th Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final takes place in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 23rd to 28th March 2016.
20 year old Irish Sport Horse stallion Flexible takes on his eighth Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final this weekend under the capable guidance of USA’s Rich Fellers. The ever popular pair won the 2012 World Cup Final in S’Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands, at the time making it the first USA win in 25 years.
USA’s Charlie Jacobs competes another Irish-bred, the 17 year old gelding Flaming Star, at the Gothenburg Final. Following the success of the 8 year old Irish Sport Horse MHS Washington at Paris CSI5* last weekend, Laura Renwick (GBR) has taken the talented young mare to compete in the non-world cup classes this weekend.
Tipperary’s Denis Lynch is Ireland’s sole representative rider competing at this year’s World Cup Final. He has brought All Star 5 (World Cup Final), Garkus van het Indihof and Ho Go van de Padenborre to the Swedish event.
We wish our Irish rider and Irish horses the best of luck at the 2016 Longines FEI World Cup Final this weekend.
