Smokey is a 4 year old Connemara gelding, he is a homebred gelding, standing at 15.1hh with more to grow.
He is a perfect pony with a super sweet and kind nature, he loves cuddles and attention and is an absolute sweetheart.
He is easy to ride with a soft snaffle mouth, he rides in a lovely outline, he is a smart gelding with a beautiful work ethic. He doesn’t want to put a foot wrong and will go far in the future.
Smokey has a lovely jump and three great paces, he is a straight mover.
He is very pretty, very well put together with great bone and a gorgeous head.
Smokey is an absolute superstar, he has everything you need in a connemara pony,
He has a naturally uphill canter, he has a soft snaffle mouth and is a pleasure to ride.
Smokey doesn’t only move nice, he has an amazing jump. He is honest and brave, he loose jumps over 1.20m with ease, he has a good technique and doesn’t want to touch the poles.
Smokey is a super star at cross country, he takes everything in his stride, he is always trying his best, he has never refused a jump with us. He brings everything you need!
Smokey is a star under saddle but also on the ground. He is super sweet and loving, he comes right up to you in the field, he is easy to shoe, box, catch and ride.
He is good to hack out, alone or in company.
Smokey is a son of our own class 1 stallion Crusheen Silver Duke.
Silver Duke was purchased by us as a two year old, he was All-Ireland Champion of Champions at Roundstone in 2017 as a foal.
He has been broken and trained by a young girl and has an amazing temperament. He is an extremely smart and kind stallion with perfect manners. He shows a fantastic jump up to 1.20m.
Silver Duke is by the amazing Silver Shadow x Monaghanstown Fionn.
Silver Shadow the International Show Jumping Connemara Stallion Cloonisle Cashel x Poetic Moonlight. One of the very top performing Connemara ponies on the European circuit, Shadow has excelled at the highest levels of competition in Ireland, Sweden, and Italy.This great stallion that has done the Connemara pony breed some unbelievable achievements, a European team pony in 2010, competing in Moorsele in Belgium and Aachen in Germany before being sold to the famous Kolgjini family in Sweden.

Monaghanstown Fionn’s offspring is competing up to 3* eventing.

Smokey has no stable vices and is open for any vetting.
