Cappa Rathmorrissey Tomboy “Tomboy”
15.2hh 5yo (2020) traditionally bred Irish sport horse mare.
Tomboy has been with us since a yearling (bought directly from her breeder so full history known) and she has been slowly and mindfully produced by us over the last number of years.
She has enjoyed a varied education and has competed at One Day Events, 2 Phase competitions and Showjumped up to 100cm.
She competed in the western region Eventing Starter series in spring and then went onto
compete at this year’s Millstreet International Horse Show and also contested the Young Event Horse Class they held.
She won the 95cm league final at Clare EC and was recently placed 2nd at Flowerhill ODE in the 90cm section having jumped skinnies, water, ditches, brush fences a keyhole and much more.
Tomboy has been on numerous forest rides and happily hacks solo or in company and will go first or last without a second thought. She works beautifully on the flat and is always ridden in a snaffle for every discipline.
She also enjoyed some hunting outings last season with the Grallagh Harriers (stonewalls) and even visited a pack in Cork and jumped banks and drains proving herself to be incredibly brave and clever and totally unfased crossing any country.
She has been produced on a small family yard and is well used to being surrounded by small children and dogs.
She’ll happily be turned out with mares or geldings and will travel in a trailer or a lorry.

This mare has a very bright future ahead and would suit a competitive Amateur or teenager
