Rolo is looking for his new home after having a successful season with his current rider. FEI life measured at 148cm. Recently vetted, x-rays available. At only 9 years old Rolo has proven himself to be a top event pony with wins and placings at EI100, EI110 and CCIP2*. Rolo has also proven himself as a talented combined training and working hunter pony, the sky is the limit with this versatile champion.
I have no doubt that Rolo will make a fantastic teams pony in the future with the right rider. Rolo is the most consistent pony in the dressage with three flashy paces regularly scoring in the mid to low 20s. Often in the lead after dressage and always in the top 3 ponies from 100 to 2*. Rolo is a safe, scopey and very careful jumper in the showjumping and the cross country with clears in eventing and up to 120 in SJI (61 SJI points) with scope for higher.
He is quick with his feet and will always get himself out of trouble and home safe. Rolo absolutely knows and loves his job and is always looking for the next fence.
He improved enormously over the 2022 season, having only stepped up to 110 late 2021 and is having a fabulous 2023 year with his current young rider with ribbons on every outing. He is the easiest pony to handle, good to shoe, vet, clip, load, and etc. An angel on the roads and isn’t fazed by traffic at all. Ridden in a snaffle for all phases and is never strong although he has a big stride and covers ground easily on the xc and makes horse strides when needed.
Always listens to his rider and wants to please, he has the best character both in the saddle and on the ground. He is extremely sound and trots up effortlessly after xc in long format events. Rolo also excels and combined training but would also turn to working hunter or pure dressage
The right home is absolutely essential for this special pony. Ideally we would like to find him someone with a few years on ponies who can take the time to get to know him. He is a very easy pony and will take a less experienced rider around smaller courses as he is very safe and forgiving, alternatively with a more experienced, confident rider Rolo will take them where they want to go. This is a sad sale of a much loved pony so serious enquiries only please.
