Description
Sky is a traditionally bred Irish Sport horse with some of the best Irish performance lines.
He is by Cougar – a son of the legendary Irish Show Jumper Cruising. On the dam side his dam is Kilcoltrim Kitten by Ghareeb. Kilcoltrim Kitten’ s first foal was Kilcoltrim Kit Kat has been selected to represent Brazil at the Paris Olympics. The second dam Sky Rise, who is by Sky Boy, produced Kilcoltrim Jacko who went to 3 star level and Silk Thread also 3 star.
We have really taken our time with Sky and he is now in the hands of international event rider Jim Newsam. This is the first video of him under saddle and he is really taking to his job.
He stands about 17.1 hands with over 9 inches of bone and has excellent conformation.
Sky is at a very early stage in his education and would be ideal for anyone wanting to put their own stamp on a lovely young horse with amazing potential. Currently with International event rider and to date he has done 2 training shows and a couple cross country schooling days. He is showing all the traits to match his half brother in the eventing field. He is so relaxed in his work and just oozes potential.

I am BHS and HSI qualified and have been riding since the age of six. I have coached, taught, competed in show jumping, dressage and eventing, run yards and worked in racing for many years. I still ride but rarely have the time to compete anymore. Passionate about retraining of racehorses and have always promoted their use as an all-round riding horse. I am also a registered social worker. Emma is also BHS qualified and show jumping is her passion. Emma spent 3yrs training in 3 of Ireland’s top showjumping yards. She is great at producing young horses ready for the start of their careers. Emma has backed all of our home bred horses, from the age of 12.
