Stunning 7yr Old Full Irish Draught gelding by the prolific Welcome Diamond.
This guy is well schooled both on the flat and over a track of fences. He is a quality draught horse with plenty of scope, ability and presence for all disciplines. Not spooky or silly. He has been very successful in the show ring and working hunter classes to date and is a great prospect for someone for the 2019 show circuit. Hasn’t been seen on the UK circuit so a great opportunity for someone to take him out.
Won the heavyweight hunter in Dungarvan show.
2nd in Scarteen in the RDS qualifiers in the performance draught class.
5th in the 1.10m Irish Draught Derby in Punchestown.
Is currently competing at 1.10m level unaffiliated. Would affiliate as plenty of scope and ability.
He’s responsive and listens to your leg, he rides in a snaffle, he has a nice shape and works well on the bit. He’s not spooky at all. Current owner hack him a lot, he loves it. Water doesn’t phase him and he’s not spooky in the show ring or jumping ring. Hacks alone or in company. Easy to shoe, clip and load- he’ll walk into the box by himself. He’s hunted 4 seasons and nothing phases him out hunting- you can point him at any ditch or drain and he’ll do it no problem. Mannerly to have out for the day. Owner would like to see him go to a capable rider to produce him further in his competitive career.
Currently located in Co. Cork. Closest airport is Cork International. Open to full x-rays and vetting. Transport can easily be arranged worldwide.

Nagero Sport Horses is very much a family based business and was set up to promote the Irish horse as a leading athlete and competitor but also to promote it's all round appeal to the leisure rider. Our ethos is the same as the Irish Horse Gateway to promote and advertise through social media to a World Wide audience. We guarantee everything we sell that it is suitable for purpose and is described accurately. We also promote and advertise horses for clients that we have a trustworthy relationship with. If we don't have what you want we can source it for you! We have many contacts throughout Ireland and often hear of horses that aren't even advertised on the open market so it is always worth getting in touch either by email or phone if you are looking for something specific. We also offer Sales Livery for selling through ourselves or preparation for National Sales so please do get in touch if you think we can help you in any way. I am BHS and HSI qualified and have been riding since the age of six. I have coached, taught, competed in show jumping, dressage and eventing, run yards and worked in racing for many years. I still ride but rarely have the time to compete anymore, although that is on the agenda time permitting. Passionate about retraining of racehorses and have always promoted their use as an all-round riding horse. I am also a registered social worker. I have a large family and they all play their part. Tom is the work horse! Makes all the hay and does the farming side of things and is always the one we call on for long reining the unbroken youngsters. We also call him the Transport Manager as he does all the hauling around. Tom has ridden all his life but now prefers to stay on the ground! Emma is 27 and is also BHS qualified and show jumping is her passion. Emma spent 3yrs training in 3 of Ireland’s top showjumping yards. She is great at producing young horses ready for the start of their careers. Emma has backed all of our home bred horses, from the age of 12. Ritchie is 19 years old and also works in racing in Johnny Murtagh's yard and is hoping to get his conditional licence in the near future. Ritchie backs some of the ponies when he is at home as he is small and light. Lucy-Jane is 14 years old and is simply horse mad. Another show jumping fan and produces all the young ponies for us. Lucy-Jane is intending to begin her BHS exams when time permits. Lucy-Jane also backs the small ponies with bruises to show for it and is a member of the Duhallow Pony Club!
