Danny is a 4-year-old purebred Connemara gelding, standing at a solid and correct 14.2hh. Class 1 and bred to success. His Sure is Prince of Clooneen, his dam is by Leág x Thunderball. Danny is the kind of pony that’s hard to find – combining traditional looks with a fantastic brain and temperament. He’s the old-fashioned “leg in each corner” type, strong, well put together, and full of quality. With his intelligent expression and wise, steady nature, he’s often described as having an “old head on young shoulders.”

From the moment you meet him, Danny shows what a kind, easy-going pony he is. He’s incredibly straightforward and enjoyable to ride, with a soft snaffle mouth and three beautifully balanced, free-moving paces. Whether you’re popping over a fence, heading out for a quiet hack, or schooling in the arena, Danny gives you a calm, confident feeling under saddle. He’s as honest as they come, and his quiet, trainable nature makes him suitable for a wide range of riders.

Danny has already been out and about, showing his manners and maturity well beyond his years. He’s hunted and taken part in charity rides, where he behaved impeccably, and he’s equally happy hacking alone or in company. Traffic doesn’t faze him, and he’s an absolute gentleman to catch, box, shoe, and handle in every way. His lovely nature shines through in all settings – he genuinely enjoys people and wants to please.

He moves straight and correctly, and with his lovely conformation and quality, Danny has all the potential to make an outstanding working hunter pony. He’s the kind of all-rounder that would suit so many homes: from a riding school or pony club family to a mother-daughter share or a kind and confidence-giving ride for a novice or child moving up from smaller ponies.
