His dam, Miss Alley Cat, is a traditional Irish horse and has greats like Gainsboro, Nearco as well as Conemara and Irish Draught in her pedigree. She is by the TB Ard Alley Cat.

The West Cork Horse Breeders cooperative society is located in the south west corner of Ireland and has been in existence since 1993. It is a voluntary organisation dedicated to the support and promotion of the horse breeding industry in the Cork area. Various seminars and competitions are organised each year to support these goals. At present we have over 130 members in our society. Our breeders are fast becoming Internationally known on the performance circuit for quality bred horses. In 2013 alone, our breeders achieved great success. The Lehane cousins PJ and Seamus as well as Kieran O'Gorman won classes at the Royal Dublin Horse Show. Internationally, P J Hegarty's homebred mare Fenya's Elegance won the prestigious CCI*** at Blenheim Palace in 2013 and the CCI ***'s at Bramham International and Gatcombe Park in 2014 under Aoife Clark. She was the highest member of the Irish eventing squad at the World Equestrian Games which qualified Ireland for Rio 2016.
