Description
Boleybawn Tornado is a very special 6yo mare. “Dawn” is the horse of a lifetime for someone and has been already for her amateur rider/owner up to recently where their last fence down on her record was May 2023!
Dawn is so straight forward that her current owner also competed her bitless at 1.10m level in a simple Micklem bridle and was always clear. Dawn was also being ridden without a bridle at home and hacking out cantering in fields only with a rope around her neck. She is truly very special. Videos available on request of these activities.
Recently Dawn has been produced further by Alex Donohoe, easily stepping up successfully not only to 1.20m level but also to 1.30m level straight after. To say Dawn is a clear round machine is an understatement. Easy to load, travel, etc. A one person job at shows.
Dawn has proven herself to suit an amateur or professional and is showing no signs of maxing out at 1.30 level – and she is only 6. A wonderful consistent canter makes it very difficult to have a bad stride and she is extremely clever with a 5th leg if needed. Being produced by a non professional has given her the ability to think for herself!
Would also make a fantastic hunter/jumper with her super canter and 4 white socks!
Dawn has an incredible temperment. Never marish – always affectionate. Great turned out with other horses. She has only known love in her life so far and gives it all and more back.
Her 2015 Quidam Jr dam qualified and competed in the RDS as a 4yo, won a HSI Studbook Series leg and won a 6yo international FEI 6yo class in Portugal. She jumped up to 1.35 level as a 6yo and is being further used for breeding.
