Ireland has a worldwide and famous reputation for the production of exceptional equine sporting and leisure horses and ponies. From top performance to leisure, the Irish horse can match every rider’s ability and ambition. International buyers coming to Ireland to source their ideal horse and pony will find quality horses from established Registered Sellers on the Irish Horse Gateway

Breeding is the largest sector in Ireland’s Sport Horse sector and there are currently over 15,000 active breeders. The current Sport Horse population in Ireland is estimated at over 124,000 animals.

Horse Sport Ireland’s Online Database
‘CapallOir’ is Horse Sport Ireland’s online database of horses including pedigree, progeny and performance data of over 400,000 animals in the Irish Sport Horse and Irish Draughts Studbooks. Thanks to FEI, Showjumping Ireland, Eventing Ireland, AIRC and British Eventing the database contains live links connecting animal records in the database to their competition records in the respective organisations’s database. Passports & Registrations
