Morningside Stud is one of Ireland's leading breeders and producers of international showjumpers and international eventing horses. Our homebred young horses can be found throughout the world: Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Wales, Scotland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, and the United States. Our horses have been ridden by top international riders such as Eric Lamaze (Olympic Champion, Canada), Clarissa Crotta (European Championship Team Gold Medal winner, Switzerland), Gert-Jan Bruggink (Olympian and European Young Rider Champion, Netherlands), Dermott Lennon (World Champion, Ireland), Felix Hassmann (European Junior Rider Champion and international rider, Germany), Henrik Steen Gundersen (international rider, Denmark), Clement McMahon (international rider, Ireland), etc. At the moment our most famous horse is the stallion Wang Chung m2s, owned by Morningside Stud and Olympic Champion Eric Lamaze. Of all the horses Morningside Stud bred from 2000 - 2005 fully 38% of those that are alive and not used exclusively for breeding are international showjumpers or international eventing horses.
